Innovation Empowerment Initiative
The Nexus 3.0 Entrepreneurship Empowerment Program (NEEP) is a U.S. government–funded initiative supported by a grant from the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi under the U.S. Department of State. Managed by UConn’s Global Training and Development Institute (GTDI), the program reflects the United States–India partnership in advancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic growth.
Implemented in India under the joint supervision of UConn and Nexus, NEEP equips emerging entrepreneurs and startups with the skills, networks, and resources to strengthen local economies, create jobs, and build community resilience. By empowering talent to thrive within India’s growing innovation ecosystem, the program contributes to shared U.S.–India goals of inclusive development and long-term bilateral collaboration.
